The "Whereabouts"  Program is run by parent volunteers.  A parent stays each morning for approximately one hour.  Attendance lists are done and forwarded to the office.  Absentees are checked against the list of reported children absent.  (Parents call the school's whereabouts line and leave a message on the answering machine letting the school know their child will be absent).  A phone call is placed to the home of any child who has not been reported absent or late by their parent/guardian -- to ensure the safety of the child.
