WebQuests

Making learning fun and relevant
(without explosions)

What is a WebQuest?

An inquiry-oriented activity in which some or all of the information that learners interact with comes from resources on the internet. They can be long term lessons that take a month or more or short term lessons that take two or three classes.

Where did they come from?

Many teachers from all over the world are using WebQuests in their classrooms now. The original idea was developed by Bernie Dodge and Tom March of San Diego University. Their WebQuest web site is now a fabulous resource for information about WebQuests and for WebQuests for you to use with your class.
