The school  planning council, staff, and parents' advisory have again identified two goals and three projects for our school during the 2006 - 2007 school year. Selection of these areas was done based upon student performance in the classroom, on school tests, and on  provincial assessments, as well as student, staff, and parent surveys. As we would all expect, our overall goal is to improve student learning.

Goals for 2006/2007
1. Courtenay Middle School will improve student performance in mathematics.
2. Courtenay Middle School will improve student performance in writing.
3. Projects: The following are areas of focus for Courtenay Middle School but are not being linked directly to measures of student achievement.  READING,  HABITS OF MIND,  SCHOOL SAFETY
