About...

My name is Mónica Mennen-Vela. Together with my husband Govert-Jan I started Virtual Peru, because I realise that most people hardly know anything about my beautiful country. And when they know, most of the time it is about world-famous things like the Nazca Lines and Machu Picchu. Of course these are spectacular phenomena's and I am very proud of it, but there is far more to Peru than just this. That's the reason we started Virtual Peru.

A little bit information about myself: I was born in 1973 in Lima, Peru. I am married with a man from Holland. First we lived in Amsterdam, but now we have moved to Heerlen, in the entire south.
